Mark Making Project

I liked working on these portraits. This was a very fun project, and Sommer is one of my best friends, so that made this fun to work on. I used words that describe our friendship, and words from inside jokes that we have together. Some of the words I used are Sommer, Stephanie, cool, art, Colorado, JUICE, paint, cooking, taco bell, wife, badminton, gang, cookies, and SOOP. To create the paint brushes, I wrote out the word using the text tool, and then selected it on a white background with the rectangular marquee tool, clicked on the edit folder and clicked define brush presets to create the custom paintbrushes. To get the correct shades, I posterized the picture and selected similar in the select folder on the similar pixel colors and put each on their own layer. I will most likely being doing more of these in the future.
