Collaboration Magazine Piece

  1. How does the design that you created demonstrate your knowledge of Magazine Design and the parts of a magazine cover and interior?

The design demonstrates my knowledge of magazine design because we used headlines, mastheads, dates, correct picture placements, the left third, and overall design in our magazine.

  1. In what ways does your magazine connect to the corporate identity of the magazine? What are some design queues that you used from the existing magazine?

The magazine connects to the corporate identity of billboard in a couple of ways. First off, we used colors in the bubbles of titles and put the heads of Bastille in front of the billboard logo, like billboard does with its covers. We also Used a billboard top 100 cover line .

  1. How did you like working with a partner? How do you think working with a partner makes the design process easier and more difficult?

I liked working with a partner because I go another person's creativity and input on my design. I also really liked seeing that our magazines really matched well together, showing that we were good partners.

  1. Looking at your partner’s design, if you were to design your partner’s portion by yourself how would it look different?

I probably would not have put the two albums in the top right corner, I would've changed how the pull quote looks, and I probably would' have not made the on the rise pece. He did very well with the little touches to the design.

  1. Describe the ideal partner (co-worker / co –designer)?

The perfect partner would be someone who has good ideas but also listens to your ideas. Paul was a very good partner during this project because he helped to give me really good ideas on what to do with the cover such as adding the ticker on the front. I also helped him by giving him the idea of doing a sort of interview with all thr band members on the side, and choosing color schemes.
